    Nicole Hosemann, Founder and Lead Consultant

    Nicole Hosemann’s professional experience makes her uniquely suited to provide students and parents with personalized guidance through the college admissions process.

    Nicole holds a B.A. Degree from UC Berkeley, a Secondary Education Teaching Credential from the State of California, and an Independent Educational Consultant certificate from UC Irvine. She is an active member in HECA and WACAC.

    Nicole has nearly 20 years of experience working with teens, including 4 years as a social studies teacher, 2 years as an English teacher and 13 years as a college advisor. She has traveled extensively and has lived and taught in Korea and Japan. Nicole spent several years as a college advisor in public schools, where she helped students of all abilities and backgrounds secure admissions and funding for college. She founded On My Way to provide students and their families with the highest level of individualized help through the complex process of college admissions and financial aid.

    Nicole lives with her family in Berkeley, CA and works virtually with students from around the world.

    Priscilla Vivio, College Consultant and Transfer Specialist

    With strong connections to Seattle and the San Francisco Bay Area, Priscilla helps students at all stages of life – from high school students to community college transfers to adult learners – pursue their college ambitions. 

    Priscilla's journey as a college consultant began in the SF Bay Area where she volunteered with non-profits supporting first-generation college applicants and helping families navigate the IB Diploma program at Montgomery High School in Sonoma. After completing a Professional Certificate in College Admissions Counseling and a Masters in Education, Priscilla moved to Seattle to be closer to her daughters. She is a member of HECA, IECA, NACAC, WACAC, PNACAC. She is a Certified Educational Planner with AICEP, a Certified College Affordability Advisor with NCAG and the Transfer Affinity Group Co-Coordinator with IECA. 

    With a background in Computer Engineering, along with insights from her family in the field of computer technology, Priscilla is a great fit for students applying to STEM programs. An organizer for college consultant roundtables in Seattle and the Bay Area, she possesses a deep knowledge of the admissions process, with specific expertise in transfers and IB programs, to help students find colleges where they’ll thrive.

    When Priscilla is not researching colleges or writing letters to her legislators, she enjoys watching her grand dogs and drinking Syrah from her Sonoma County vineyard.

    Julie Mozena, College Consultant

    Leveraging over 30 years of professional experience, Julie Mozena is dedicated to supporting young people as they prepare to take their next step in their educational journey towards college.

    Julie holds a degree in English from UCLA. She first established herself as a successful fundraising consultant, developing her expertise in grantwriting, prospect research, strategic planning and donor stewardship while raising millions in new funding for a wide range of causes.

    After supporting both her son and daughter in finding their best college fits, Julie was inspired to weave together the experience and wisdom she gained from both her professional career and motherhood to embark on a new path as a college consultant. Julie also serves as a volunteer college and essay coach to first generation and low income students from around the country through the nonprofit ScholarMatch.

    Julie is constantly delighted and energized by the students she works with, bringing an infectious enthusiasm to every interaction. She lives in Marin County with her husband and her dog/office assistant, Poppy.

    Nicole Freeling, College Consultant

    A lifelong writer and communications specialist who spent more than a decade working in higher education, Nicole Freeling is passionate about the role college plays in helping young people expand their understanding of themselves and the world.

    Nicole holds a B.A. in English and Modern Languages from Emory University. She worked for years as a journalist before spending a decade in communications at the University of California, writing about admissions, financial aid, student life and student success for UC’s 10 campus system. She played a key role in UC initiatives to improve college access, expand financial aid for low-income students, and better serve first-generation college students

    Nicole has always loved working with young adults. She is a member of the Higher Education Consultant’s Association, helps organize counselor college tours, and holds a certificate as an Independent Educational Consultant. She is eager to help students explore their college options, find and tell their unique story and discover the fit that is right for them.

    Nicole lives with her family in Berkeley. She is happy to see students in-person and also works virtually with students from around the world.

    Olivia Shen Green, College Consultant

    With 20+ years of professional experience, Olivia supports young people and their families on a smart and confident journey to college.

    As a Human Resources leader, Olivia has coached young professionals in securing high-quality jobs and understanding the unwritten rules to advancement. Now, she empowers students to better understand themselves, where they want to go, and what they need to do to get there. She serves as a volunteer college and essay coach to first generation and low income students through the AVID program. 

    Olivia earned a B.S. in Industrial Engineering at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and holds a Masters in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University. She has held global executive leadership positions including Vice President, HR at a Fortune 200 technology company. Olivia has led teams across spaces such as software, music, gaming, streaming, podcasting and sports.

    Olivia is a member of the Western Association of College Admissions Counselors (WACAC) and is a candidate for a Professional Certificate in College Admissions Consulting, UC Berkeley. In her free time, Olivia spends time with family, enjoys Broadway musicals and watches action movies.

    Olivia lives with her family in Mountain View, CA and works virtually with students from around the world.

    Laura Francis, Careers + Majors Specialist and Student Success Coach

    Laura Francis brings over 30 years of diverse experience to her work as a consultant and coach.

    After earning a double BA in International Relations and Psychology from UC Davis, she began her career living and working in Japan. She has held positions in education, logistics, sales, art and software. She is a certified college and career counselor specializing in career coaching for teens and young adults. She also runs career readiness workshops for rising and recent college graduates.

    Laura is passionate about helping teens and young adults tap into self-discovery and career and major exploration in preparation for what’s ahead. Her years of working with young people – from elementary school through college graduation – exposed her to the inner-workings of lower and higher education. She has seen first-hand that investing time in self-discovery helps teens make a successful transition from dependents to independent contributors. She also believes in the value of career exploration while in high school and leading into the college admissions process.

    Laura lives in Oakland with her husband and has two college aged daughters. She works virtually with students from around the world.
